By default, no. All standard projects use human translators from start to finish. If you have high-volume content where machine translation with human post-editing (MTPE) is a cost-effective option, we can discuss it. We never use machine translation without telling you first.
We count the words, assess the complexity, and check our translator availability before confirming a date. Standard projects (up to 1,500 words) typically deliver in 24 to 48 hours. Larger or more complex projects get a timeline confirmed at quote stage. We do not use the standard "5 to 7 business days" catch-all.
In USA, a certified (beglaubigte) translation includes a signed declaration from a sworn translator confirming the translation accurately reflects the source document. This is required for court filings, immigration documents, academic records, and most official German government purposes. We provide this for relevant documents and can clarify whether your specific document requires it.
Yes, and we encourage it. If you have established terminology, brand voice guidelines, or a translation memory from previous work, send it with the project brief. We apply it throughout and flag any conflicts we find in the source.
We accept Word (.docx), PDF, PowerPoint, Excel, plain text, HTML, XML, XLIFF, JSON, InDesign (.indd), and most other common formats. We deliver in the same format unless you request otherwise. For complex DTP files, ask about the DTP add-on.
Yes, and repeat clients get a maintained translation memory so each project benefits from previous work. This reduces cost over time and improves consistency. If you send monthly or quarterly documents, we can set up a standing arrangement.
All prices and payments are in US Dollars (USD). Stripe handles the payment and supports most major credit and debit cards, as well as major credit and debit cards.
If you cancel before work starts, you receive a full refund. Once translation is underway, refunds are partial based on work completed. If we deliver something that does not match the agreed scope and we cannot fix it within 5 business days, you are entitled to a full refund. Full details are in the Refund Policy page.
